DRA Center's main three objectives

1

creating a Space to call our own

We have created a space to call our own —a place where everyone in recovery can feel like they belong. Recovery is hard enough without feeling like you have to fit into a box and creating a space that is inclusive but also expansive is our priority. We needed our own safe space to gather as a community, support one another, and celebrate all of the unique ways people approach their recovery journeys.

For our LGBTQIA+ family, it's a safe space where you don't have to explain yourself—you just are. And for everyone, it's a reminder that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all. Whether your path involves a 12-step program of your choice, or something entirely different, this is a space to explore what works for you

Our Alliance is about unity, healing, and creating a stronger, more vibrant recovery community.

2

celebrating Diversity in recovery

Recovery is deeply personal, yet it thrives in connection. Some in our community have felt excluded, unseen, or misunderstood in traditional recovery spaces. At the DRA Center, we believe everyone deserves a seat at the table, no matter their background, identity, or path to healing.

Our community is made up of unique individuals—different races, ethnicities, genders, orientations, and beliefs—all united by the common goal of recovery. By creating a space that celebrates diversity, we remove the barriers that keep people from seeking help or feeling like they belong. A safe, inclusive environment ensures that everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to share their truth without judgment.

Diversity enriches us. It allows us to learn from one another, challenge old ideas, and build new, meaningful connections. When people feel safe and accepted, they are better able to embrace recovery fully.

3

hearing from our members

The heart of the DRA Center is you. Our space isn’t just about what we’ve created—it’s about the people who fill it with connection, love, and support. Every member plays a role in shaping our community, whether by showing up, sharing their story, or simply holding space for others.

We believe that the best ideas come from the voices within our community. That’s why we want to hear from you. What’s working? What could be better? What do you dream of for this space? Your input helps us grow and evolve into a space that truly reflects the needs of everyone who walks through our doors.

This is your community, and we’re committed to making sure it feels like home. So don’t be shy—share your thoughts, your ideas, and your hopes. Together, we’ll continue building a safe, inclusive, and transformative space for recovery.
